Notes and Nods on Studio 424′s Opening Reception

New York had Studio 54 back in the seventies however Los Angeles recently opened its doors to Studio 424.  Brought to you by the pop-up guru Four Two Four on Fairfax.

In honor of the new installation, FourTwoFour on Fairfax thought it to be a grand idea to have an opening reception.  The latest pop-up installation features the coveted collections of three select designer vintage fashion aficionados: Portage Chicago, VintagEye, and 4SOSA.  The vintage pieces on view are nearly extinct (from the 80’s and 90’s) as well as some rare finds from today along with exclusive re-vamped items.  Stunna shades are neatly displayed in four flat velvet lined cases and along matte walls hang the carefully selected outerwear, costume jewelry, silky scarves and bags galore from such luxury labels as Louis Vuitton, MCM, ChanelRalph Lauren Polo, and YSL.  “If you like what you see, don’t just stare, speak up and it’s yours” [to buy] exclaimed one of the collectors.

And that they did-  Perrier and an open bar made the guests worlds twirl as DJ OH.M.B. bumped the jams of Biggie, Wu-Tang, Tupac, and all the best of the rest throughout the entire evening.  Michael of Rony’s Photo Booth snapped pictures of spirit-filled young crowd, some of whom dropped off their thoughtful donations for Toys for Tots.  We had the privilege of viewing the hush hush goods that were in the back which they had intentionally planned to put out throughout the next few weeks.  To say the least, the event was the epitome of a hip-hop music video and the only humorous tiffs that broke out were over the comparison of who had the rarest possessions and well, ultimately who was the most fly of them all.  But something to note (and nod) kids: You are all killing it in the fly department, don’t you worry.  Last note: the Studio 424 installation is yours for the taking until January 29th- that is if there is anything left by then.
